On a clear night Dartmoor is a pretty good place for star spotting. The problem of course is that clear nights are relatively few and far between over the moor. On this particular evening it was about as good as it gets, completely clear with no moon.
This is Blackingstone Rock which is one of Dartmoor's lesser known Tors sat in rural land between Moretonhampstead and the Teign Valley.
